Holistic wellness at the Magdalene Center is defined as a deep understanding and acceptance that
we are both human and divine and therefore embody both light and shadow.
The Way teaches us that both our humanity and our divinity are holy and necessary for the full human experience and therefore need to be acknowledged, honored, loved, and fully integrated into our being in order to understand and live fully as our true nature.
We believe that all living things are intricately and explicitly connected.
We acknowledge and honor humanities inherent diversity, believe that all living things are holy and have intrinsic value that contributes to the greater whole.
We are a community that welcomes, loves, and accepts all beings just as they are where they are; we do not not tolerate racial or moral injustice in any form. We recognize that systems of inequality and injustice are embedded in society, and strive to contribute to efforts for change. Through our practice of the Way, we recognize first and foremost that we, as individuals, need to begin to heal and undo harmful patterns in ourselves while seeking healing, forgiveness, or reparations with others in the world.
We believe our collective and individual fulfillment is intricately intertwined with the depth of our interpersonal connection with Spirit and with each other.
As we walk The Way together, we dance daily with both our shadow and our light, celebrating our strengths but also standing naked and vulnerable in our limitations. This practice reminds us to live with humility and relentless curiosity as we strive to understand what can be known from within while simultaneously relaxing into life’s mystery unfolding around us.
We believe this creates space for courage, learning, healing, growth, and ultimately brings purpose, wonderment, and joy.
We believe every human being deeply desires to live the life of purpose that has been planted inside of them and has a right to a life filled with peace, hope, love, joy, and abundance.
